Variant Details

Showing all: 1 variant(s).

Variant ID.  343
Epitope Seq.  TPQDLNTML
Variant Seq.  TPQDLNmML
Mutations T/M
Epitope Location T7M
HXB2 Location T186M
Mutation Type DR: diminished response
Epitope Subtype C, D
Variant Subtype A
Note The wild type epitope sequence was common to subtypes C and D, the variant to subtype A. CTL response in 56 individuals from Tanzania was strongest for subtype C peptide, and much lower for subtype A, due to point mutation effect. The response was also lower for subtype D, due to frame-of-epitope effect.
