Variant Details

Showing 1 of 3 variants.

Variant ID.  140
Variant Seq.  rAFSPEVIPMF
Mutations K/R
Epitope Location K1R
HXB2 Location K162R
Mutation Type NSF: non-susceptible form
SF: susceptible form
Method CD8 T-cell Elispot - IFNy
Note 5 variants of the epitope were observed: KAFSPEVIPMF, KnFSPEVIPMF, rAFSPEVIPMF, and KgFnPEVIPMF. Depending on the subject, different versions of these variants were more or less susceptible to their CD8+ T cells, i.e., one person's escape form was another person's susceptible form. Responses against rAFSPEVIPMF were among maximal in subjects carrying KAFSPEVIPMF, KnFSPEVIPMF and rAFSPEVIPMF but there was little or no response in subjects carrying KgFnPEVIPMF.
