Variant Subtype | A |
Note | The wild type epitope sequence was common to subtypes C and D, the variant to subtype A. CTL response in 56 individuals from Tanzania was strongest for subtype C peptide, and much lower for subtype A, due to point mutation effect. The response was also lower for subtype D, due to frame-of-epitope effect. |
