Variant Details

Showing all: 1 variant(s).

Variant ID.  176
Epitope Seq.  TPQDLNMML
Variant Seq.  TPQDLNtML
Mutations M/T
Epitope Location M7T
HXB2 Location M186T
Mutation Type SNSF: subtype-specific non-susceptible form
TCR: TCR related mutation
Epitope Subtype A
Variant Subtype B, C, D
Method CD8 T-cell Elispot - IFNy, Cytotoxicity assay, Tetramer binding
Note TPQDLNMML was subtype A-specific with no cross-recognition of the subtype B, C, and D variant, TPQDLNTML, although the B/C/D variant bound more efficiently to B53 in vitro. Position 7 shows great positional variation in crystal structures of two HLA-B53 complexes, suggesting that variation here might significantly alter the position of the peptide in the binding groove and thus affect TCR interactions.
