|Mutation Type||SNSF: subtype-specific non-susceptible form|
|Epitope Subtype||A, C|
|Note||CTL responses in three individuals with non-clade B infections were studied, 2 with subtype A infections, 1 with subtype C -- their infections all originated in East Africa. This epitope is most commonly SLYNTVATL in B subtype, and CTL from the C subtype infection did not recognize B clade gag or the 3Y form of the epitope, but did recognize the predominant A and C clade form, SLFNTVATL.|
