Mutation Type | OV: observed variant RCOK: replicative capacity is not abrogated SF: susceptible form |
Method | CD8 T-cell Elispot - IFNy, Longitudinal study, Other, Relative replication capacity assay |
Note | Synonymous mutation N323tc appeared at 175d post-screening, and was fixed to completion (100%) by 670d post-screening, indicating strong selection. No T-cell- or Ab-responses were detected against the mutant, and it was not a cryptic epitope, showing host-specific, non-adaptive immune selection pressures. The mutant was not significantly less fit than T/F over 3 comparative passages. |
