Variant Details

Showing all: 3 variant(s).

Variant ID.  1826
Epitope Seq.  RPQVPLRPMTY
Variant Seq.  RPQVPLRPMTf
Mutations Y/F
Epitope Location Y11F
HXB2 Location Y81F
Mutation Type SF: susceptible form
Method Intracellular cytokine staining, Tetramer binding
Note Binding of this variant to HLA-B*3501 was unchanged from index epitope binding. Cytotoxic sensitivity was also preserved.

Variant ID.  1827
Epitope Seq.  RPQVPLRPMTY
Variant Seq.  tPQVPLRPMTY
Mutations R/T
Epitope Location R1T
HXB2 Location R71T
Mutation Type E: escape documented in this paper
Method Intracellular cytokine staining, Tetramer binding
Note RY11-specific CTL failed to kill CD4 T cells infected with the T75 variant. Binding to HLA-B*3501 increased 10-fold with this variant, but cytotoxic activity decreased over a 100-fold.

Variant ID.  1828
Epitope Seq.  RPQVPLRPMTY
Variant Seq.  tPQVPLRPMTf
Mutations R/T Y/F
Epitope Location R1T Y11F
HXB2 Location R71T Y81F
Mutation Type OV: observed variant
Method Intracellular cytokine staining, Tetramer binding
Note This double mutant is rarely if ever seen naturally, suggesting a high fitness cost.
