Note This GL9 epitope variant aAvDLSHFL is found in clade B strain NL4-3 and is different from the clade B consensus GL9 epitope reported in this paper as well as in Watanabe2011 and Murakoshi2009. Cells infected by NL4-3 are not recognized by CTL that are elicited upon recognition of the consensus B GL9 peptide used in these studies.
