Notes

• IL-2 producing CD4 T cells were studied in 3 acutely infected HIV-1 infected subjects. Despite the early presence of IL-2 producing T cells, each subject exhibited progressive disease, one subject showing rapid progression. In this rapid progressor 3 IL-2 producing CD4 T-cell responses were identified, mapped to optimal epitopes and further studied.
• AMQMKLETINEEAAE was targeted by IL-2 producing T cell clone in subject OM296 (37 years old male, viral load 10,691 copies/ml), sampled less than 4 months postinfection.
