Notes

Strain HHD transgenic mice expressing a chimeric mouse-human HLA A*0201 were used to test whether breadth and depth of CTL response was greater to tHIVconsv vaccine (HIV vaccine with A, B, C, D clade alternating consensus sequences from 14 HIV proteins and with a tissue plasmingoen activator leader sequence) combined with an HIVconsv-complementing multivalent mosaic immunogen tHIVcmo or to trivalent conserved mosaic immunogen vaccines. A hierarchy of tHIVconsv < tHIVconsv + tHIVcmo < tCmo1+tCmo2+tCmo3 was seen.
Epitope SLVKHHLTE was included in vaccine immunogens tHIVconsv, tCmo1 and tCmo3 and elicited responses with vaccine regimen of tHIVconsv.
