Notes

• HLA-B*18-restricted CTLs were shown to select for mutations E138G/A/K in the NY8 (NETPGIRY), NY9 and NY10 epitopes. NY8 was determined to be the optimal epitope. Variants were found in 21% of B*18+ ART-naive subjects but only in 0.37% of such B*18- subjects. Variants completely abolished CTL response as well as rilpivirine drug susceptibility.
