• The frequency of known escape mutations was studied in 9 large cohorts from around the world. The frequencies of specific epitope escape variants were consistently correlated with the prevalence of the restricting HLA allele in each population, demonstrating strong evidence of viral adaptation to HLA on a population level.
• B*4801-restricted epitope LQGQMVHQAI was defined by EliSpot reactivity in one B*4801-positive patient.
