Immunization of mice with a multiple-peptide conjugate system consisting of modified Tat peptides (HIV-1-Tat-MPC) induced an effective immune response. The antibodies induced against HIV-1-Tat-MPC efficiently suppressed viral replication of HIV-1 clinical isolates of subtypes A, B and F but not C.
