J3: Four heavy chain-only (VHH) antibodies were raised in llamas. In comparison with llama antibody J3, the new antibodies also bound to the CD4 site, and combinations of them were highly effective in neutralization of diverse strains of HIV. McCoy2014a (neutralization)
J3: Inhibition of cell-cell spread of HIV-1 was tested for a panel of bNAbs (VRC01, HJ16, 2F5, 2G12, PG9, PG16, and J3). Among the tested antibodies, the llama-derived J3 and J3-Fc were particularly potent inhibitors of spread from human macrophages to T cells. McCoy2014 (neutralization)
J3: J3 is a heavy chain-only VHH MAb from a llama immunized with recombinant gp140 of A and C clade strains. J3 neutralized 96 of 100 tested HIV-1 strains of multiple clades. A14: Four new anti-HIV Abs were raised in llamas immunized with HIV clade B and C gp140. MAbs were selected for their ability to neutralize at least 1 tier-3 pseudovirus. Abs A14 and B9 were both derived from llama#1. All the new antibodies bound to the CD4 site and were broadly neutralizing against a panel of HIV pseudoviruses.
