A new computer program designed to recognize conformational epitopes in 3D structures that correspond to linear peptide mimotopes (3DEX) was tested using the known conformational epitope of this Fab. 223F, 224R, 226Y, 244K, 267I, and 268I, previously defined as the epitope from NMR structural studies (Yi2002) were confirmed, along with two additional amino acids, (A265 and K266).
