11B: The first cryo-EM structure of a cross-linked vaccine antigen was solved. The 4.2 Å structure of HIV-1 BG505 SOSIP soluble recombinant Env in complex with a bNAb PGV04 Fab fragment revealed how cross-linking affects key properties of the trimer. Rabbit mAbs 10A, 11A and 11B bind to the N241/N289 ‘glycan-hole’ surface were isolated from rabbits immunized with BG505 SOSIP and showed a median ˜1.5-fold reduction in binding.
