1144: The initial anti-Env-gp41 response in acute HIV-1 infected patients was found to be cross-reactive, generated by stimulation of memory B cells previously activated by non-HIV-1 antigens that are therefore non-neutralizing and ineffective. Similar polyreactive abs were isolated from uninfected subjects. Ab1144 is an IgG1 antibody isolated from a uninfected subject 022-3 that can react against 4 different HIV-1 Env rgp41 with a binding affinity of 4.8 nM.It is from the V_H family of 3-48 and has a CDR3 length of 17.
