5A9: A monostratified epithelium using HT-29 cells transduced to express CCR5 was constructed to model the transcytosis of HIV-1 across columnar epithelial cells because CCR5-tropic viruses are the dominant viruses transmitted in vivo and are preferentially transcytosed across intestinal epithelial cells in vitro. 5A9 exhibited very limited inhibition (<20 percent) of the transcytosis of NL4-3.Balecto. 5A9: This is a novel murine MAb that partially blocked 2F5 MAb binding to ENV but did not neutralize primary isolates or bind host lipids. Two murine MPER MAbs 13H11 and 5A9 completely blocked each other's binding. While length of peptide had no effect on 2F5 binding, dissociation rate constants For 5A9 and 13H11 were several fold greater when bound to shorter (15-mer) peptide EQELLELDKWASLWN compared to 20-mer and 35-mer peptides, indicating conformational nature of 5A9 and 13H11 epitopes.
