12.19: IgG antibody phage display libraries were created from HIV-1+ individuals using unselected PBMC or after pre-selection of PBMC with gp120 using affinity columns. This was one of 2 gp120 Abs from the unselected library; 9 Abs were obtained from a 10-fold smaller pre-selected library. This approach offers an alternative to generating libraries from bone marrow, which is often difficult to obtain. This antibody bound to a V3-fusion protein.
