Variant Details

Showing all: 8 variant(s).

Variant ID.  347
Epitope Seq.  KAFSPEVIPMF
Variant Seq.  KgFnPEVIPMF
Mutations A/G S/N
Epitope Location A2G S4N
HXB2 Location A163G S165N
Mutation Type SSF: subtype-specific susceptible form
Epitope Subtype B
Variant Subtype A, AC
Method CD8 T-cell Elispot - IFNy, Chromium-release assay, Tetramer binding
Note Variant found in clades A and AC. B*5701 CTL clones recognized this variant and displayed similar levels of lytic activity as against the wt at time 0 but 50% of activity at 24h later. This variant was presented more efficiently by B*5703 than by B*5701. The variant reacted with 100% of CTLs but failed to induce significant IFN-gamma secretion in 2 of the patients, indicating that this variant is unable to activate all downstream effector functions. However, it induced IFN-gamma in some patients' PBMCs.

Variant ID.  348
Epitope Seq.  KAFSPEVIPMF
Variant Seq.  KAlSPEVIPMF
Mutations F/L
Epitope Location F3L
HXB2 Location F164L
Mutation Type SSF: subtype-specific susceptible form
Epitope Subtype B
Variant Subtype A
Method CD8 T-cell Elispot - IFNy, Chromium-release assay, Tetramer binding
Note Variant found in clade A. It was recognized by CTLs and induced lysis of peptide-pulsed targets. The variant induced IFN-gamma secretion in PBMCs from 5 patients and did not induce secretion in PBMCs from 1 patient.

Variant ID.  349
Epitope Seq.  KAFSPEVIPMF
Variant Seq.  KAFSPEVIPvF
Mutations M/V
Epitope Location M10V
HXB2 Location M171V
Mutation Type SSF: subtype-specific susceptible form
Epitope Subtype B
Variant Subtype A
Method CD8 T-cell Elispot - IFNy, Chromium-release assay, Tetramer binding
Note Variant found in clade A. It was recognized by CTLs and induced lysis of peptide-pulsed targets. The variant induced IFN-gamma secretion in PBMCs from all patients.

Variant ID.  350
Epitope Seq.  KAFSPEVIPMF
Variant Seq.  KAFnPEiIPMF
Mutations S/N V/I
Epitope Location S4N V7I
HXB2 Location S165N V168I
Mutation Type SSF: subtype-specific susceptible form
Epitope Subtype B
Variant Subtype O group
Method CD8 T-cell Elispot - IFNy, Chromium-release assay, Tetramer binding
Note Variant found in group O. It was recognized by CTLs and induced lysis of peptide-pulsed targets. The variant induced IFN-gamma secretion in PBMCs from 4 patients and did not induce secretion in PBMCs from 2 patients.

Variant ID.  351
Epitope Seq.  KAFSPEVIPMF
Variant Seq.  KAFSPEiIPMF
Mutations V/I
Epitope Location V7I
HXB2 Location V168I
Mutation Type SSF: subtype-specific susceptible form
Epitope Subtype B
Variant Subtype AC
Method CD8 T-cell Elispot - IFNy, Chromium-release assay, Tetramer binding
Note Variant found in clade A/C. It was recognized by CTLs and induced lysis of peptide-pulsed targets. The variant induced IFN-gamma secretion in PBMCs from all patients.

Variant ID.  352
Epitope Seq.  KAFSPEVIPMF
Variant Seq.  KAFSqEVIPMF
Mutations P/Q
Epitope Location P5Q
HXB2 Location P166Q
Mutation Type DR: diminished response
SSF: subtype-specific susceptible form
Epitope Subtype B
Variant Subtype AC
Method CD8 T-cell Elispot - IFNy, Chromium-release assay, Tetramer binding
Note Variant found in clade A /C. It induced IFN-gamma production in 3/6 patients' PBMC but it demonstrated a diminished capacity to sensitize target cells for lysis. This variant was a weak ligand.

Variant ID.  353
Epitope Seq.  KAFSPEVIPMF
Variant Seq.  rgFSPEVIPMF
Mutations K/R A/G
Epitope Location K1R A2G
HXB2 Location K162R A163G
